Ellie enjoys working on exciting new projects that are challenging and unique. She got her start in fashion from her love of sewing and costuming and has a background in entertainment. Having previous experience working in-house in an apparel manufacturing facility, she learned how 3D technology can help with design, fit, and efficiency. Her goal has always been to use 3D as a tool to help make real garments in a more sustainable fashion. She studied Fashion Design & Merchandising and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011 and enjoys working in Clo3D for pattern making, 3D rendering, and animation. She also is an avid Adobe Suite user for many projects such as tech packs and 2D technical design in Illustrator, seamless repeating pattern design and editing in Photoshop, and compositing videos in Premiere Pro. Ellie enjoys teaming up with small and mid-sized brands to provide patterns for new styles as well as grading to create the full-size range. Her favorite projects include women's and girls' dresses, but she also enjoys athletic wear, uniforms, and complex projects such as orthopedic, slings and product development for unique soft goods that require a cut-and-sew pattern. As an experienced pattern maker and sample maker, she uses her skillset in 2D and 3D, to produce true-to-life results.
